A visa in the form of a golden card that promises residency in the US in record time. Donald Trump's administration is now selling visas for millions, while other migration is being tightened.

The president was enthusiastic when he launched the website where foreign citizens can apply for a “golden card visa.” It is official and government-run, but it is easy to mistake it for a travel site with beautiful nature photos and calls to realize “life in America.”

Applicants first pay the equivalent of just under 140,000 kronor in processing fees. This is followed by background checks, interviews, forms to be filled out and materials to be submitted, according to US media . If the application is approved, it is possible to pay one million dollars, just over nine million kronor, for the card.

The initiative comes at a time when the US has put asylum and visa applications from 19 "high-risk" countries on hold and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is pushing for a travel ban from countries she claims are parasitizing the US.
