Trump's warning comes on the social platform Truth Social. He refers indirectly to the development with internal strife and Hamas attacks on opponents in the Gaza Strip. Trump says that harsh consequences await if they do not "stop killing people in Gaza".
In recent days, several media outlets have reported on something resembling summary executions that Hamas has carried out in Gaza. The American media company CNN has, among other things, shown video footage of masked suspected Hamas members shooting eight bound people from behind.
"If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not part of the agreement, we will have no other choice but to go in and kill them," the American president writes in a post on Truth Social.
