USA's president Donald Trump is expected to attend the Ryder Cup golf in New York. The European team's captain Luke Donald hopes that it will not result in any delays, as was the case when Trump over the weekend appeared at the men's US Open final in tennis.

Hopefully they have learned from it, says Luke Donald at a press conference.

The US Open final was delayed for almost an hour due to the large security effort surrounding the president.

Now, Trump is expected to be on site when the major prestige meeting between the US and Europe begins at Bethpage Black, on Friday, September 26.

It is of course a large process when a president comes to a competition, with security and all that it entails. It is a part of the job, I can imagine. The PGA of America's job is to ensure that everything works seamlessly. I guess he will want to be there and greet the players and I think the audience will be loud anyway, says Luke Donald.

Europe is the reigning Ryder Cup champion and just like in the victory two years ago, Ludvig Åberg is the team's only Swedish player.
