”The trial against Bibi Netanyahu should BE IMMEDIATELY DISMISSED, or a great hero who has done so much for the state should be pardoned”, writes Trump in a long post on his platform Truth Social.
In the prolonged Israeli lawsuit, which has been going on for several years, Netanyahu is accused of fraud, bribery and disloyalty to the principal.
”It was the United States that saved Israel, and now it will be the United States that saves Bibi Netanyahu”, writes Trump and calls the prosecution a ”witch hunt” and a ”politically motivated case”.
Trump writes further that he "just found out" that Netanyahu has been summoned to court on Monday.
Cross-examination with Netanyahu began earlier this month and is expected to resume when the court reopens after a temporary closure due to the war against Iran, writes The Times of Israel.
