The incoming President of the United States, Donald Trump, is threatening the EU with tariffs if they do not buy more oil and gas from the USA. He writes this on his social media platform, Truth Social.
"I have told the European Union that they must compensate for their enormous deficit with the USA through large purchases of our oil and gas."
"Otherwise, it will be tariffs all the way!!!", he continues.
Donald Trump has previously threatened higher tariffs on goods from China. Moreover, Trump has said that from the first day he sets foot in the White House, he will impose tariffs of 25 percent on all goods from Mexico and Canada.
