President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must "stop knocking out diesel in Russia, it's causing fuel shortages," Trump said at a press conference in Ireland.
"We've talked to Zelenskyy about it, there are many other goals, but don't attack diesel, it hurts the world," Trump said, according to Irish RTÉ.
The American claims that rising fuel prices around the world - and not least in the United States - are not a consequence of his self-initiated war against Iran.
It depends on what happens in Russia and Ukraine, he said.
Russia imposed restrictions on diesel exports in July to address fuel shortages in the country, caused by Ukrainian attacks on the country's energy facilities.
