But the US president tells reporters outside the White House there is no talk of a ceasefire.
"I don't want a ceasefire. You don't want a ceasefire if you're practically annihilating the other side," he says.
When asked what he meant when he previously said that the United States had won the war militarily, he replied that the United States "moves freely" over Iran and that the Iranian military is "completely destroyed".
