Trump Takes Over Rose Garden Duties Amid Melania's Absence

Melania Trump has barely been seen in the White House since Donald Trump began his second term. According to The New York Times, the president has taken over a number of tasks traditionally handled by the First Lady, including taking care of the rose garden. "Where is Melania?" the newspaper asks.

Melania Trump has spent less than 14 days in the White House since her husband was sworn in as president for over 100 days ago. This is according to sources for The New York Times. Other sources claim that 14 days is a "generous" estimate.

Melania Trump also kept away from the courtroom last year, where her husband was later convicted of illegally trying to influence the 2016 election. This was done through payments to porn star Stormy Daniels, who claimed to have had sex with the president, in exchange for silence. According to sources with insight, there is also a concern among the first lady after the assassination attempts on Donald Trump.

Garden Responsible

We have not seen a first lady with such a low profile since Bess Truman, and it's almost 80 years ago, said Katherine Jellison at Ohio University to The New York Times.

According to the newspaper's investigation, Donald Trump has taken over the first lady's traditional tasks, such as meeting visitors in the White House wing and redesigning the rose garden, which Melania was responsible for during Donald Trump's previous term.

Conspiracy Theories

Spokespersons for the White House have been secretive about Melania Trump's absence, and the secrecy has revived conspiracy theories that started in 2017, about her being replaced by an impersonator. But on Thursday, she attended the presentation of a new stamp dedicated to the USA's former first lady Barbara Bush. Noteworthy, some thought, since Bush previously said that she "does not understand how any woman can vote for Donald Trump".

According to The New York Times, Melania Trump spends most of her time in New York and Florida. Like her husband, she is also building her personal brand with the help of a cryptocurrency. She has also been seen together with a film team, as Amazon paid around 387 million kronor to produce a documentary about her life behind the scenes.
