For over two weeks ago, the President of the USA, Donald Trump, announced a 90-day pause on the heavily increased tariffs against the countries that had not introduced any retaliatory tariffs against the USA. But much more than that should not be expected from the world's economies.

Trump said on Friday to reporters on board the presidential plane Air Force One that it was "unlikely" with a scenario where the tariffs would be paused for another 90 days.

Trump further stated that he believes the financial markets are now starting to adapt to his tariff policy and toned down the volatility that has affected the stock exchanges after he announced his plans for extra tariffs against nearly 60 countries. The tariffs were thus paused, but previously, tariffs of 10 percent had been introduced against around 180 countries.

I said it would be a transition period. People haven't understood it, but they're starting to understand it now, said Trump.
