The President of the USA, Donald Trump, states that he has signed twelve letters with information about new tariff rates ahead of the deadline that the President previously set as it approaches.
According to Trump, the "letters" will be sent on Monday. Which countries it concerns, Trump does not want to reveal, only that it involves different percentages for different countries.
Earlier in the week, Trump stated that the new tariffs will begin to apply from August 1. Regarding the negotiations between the EU and the USA, it has been reported that these are in a decisive phase. Trump's previously announced tariff pause expires on Wednesday.
