The media conglomerate Paramount Global and the President of the USA, Donald Trump, have reached an agreement.

The former will pay the latter 16 million dollars, equivalent to over 150 million kronor as a settlement after the president's lawsuit following an interview with his opponent in the presidential election, Kamala Harris, on the company's channel CBS last autumn.

Kamala Harris was interviewed on the program 60 Minutes and Trump believed that the interview had been edited to make Harris appear in a better light and thus have a better chance in the election.

The company, which has since published an unedited version showing that Harris' answers were not edited incorrectly, will in the future publish transcripts of presidential candidates who are interviewed.
