The statement comes in response to a question about criticism after the US temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian oil amid soaring oil prices. Trump does not answer the question directly, but instead takes aim at Zelenskyy.
"I'm surprised Zelenskyy doesn't want a deal. Tell Zelenskyy to make a deal, because Putin is ready," Trump replied, continuing:
Zelenskyy is much more difficult to reach an agreement with.
Trump also rejects Ukraine's offer to the US and its allies to provide drone experts to help in the war against Iran - in exchange for support in the war against Russia.
"We don't need any help," Trump said.
The last person we need help from is Zelenskyy.
