The latest wave of US attacks began just after midnight, Swedish time. The US and Iran have now targeted each other with airstrikes for 13 consecutive nights.

"The attacks are aimed at holding Iran accountable and reducing threats to commercial shipping from the Revolutionary Guard," the American Centcom writes on X.

Shortly before last night's wave of attacks, Donald Trump announced that frozen Iranian assets would be used to compensate for damage caused by Iran.

"Let this statement, for now, serve as clarification that from now on, any damage to ships, cargo or anything related thereto will be replaced with Iranian funds in the possession and control of the United States," Donald Trump writes in a post on Truth Social.
