Donald Trump believes the war in Iran will soon be over. At least that's what he told CBS News.
I think (the war) is pretty much over, by and large. They have no navy, no communications, they have no air force.
This is what the US president told a CBS News reporter, the reporter states on X.
Trump also reportedly said the United States is "very far" ahead of the estimated four to five weeks he previously said the war would take.
Regarding Iran's new leader Mojtaba Khamenei, whom Trump has repeatedly criticized, the president says he has an idea of who could replace him. But there is no talk of any dialogue.
I have nothing to say to him. Nothing at all.
Trump says he is “considering ‘taking over’ the Strait of Hormuz” and also warns Iran:
They have used up all their shots, and they’d better not make anything up, that would mean the end of that country.
