The Washington Post published information on Tuesday, Swedish time, that the president had secretly changed plans before leaving Turkey.

Trump confirms that a switch took place. According to the president, the military and Secret Service had asked him to fly on another plane due to a threat.

I just have to do as they say.

According to The Washington Post, Trump was moved between planes in a catering van.

The sequence of events appears to be shown in a video on X, published by John Hudson, a reporter for The Washington Post. In the clip, President Trump is seen entering the older Air Force One, while a catering truck is parked on the other side of the plane. Five minutes later, the food truck drives away and parks next to a third, smaller US government plane.

Corrected: In an earlier version of the text there was an inaccuracy regarding the date of the NATO meeting.
