A meeting was to take place after reports of tensions between the two over attempts to end the war in Iran, which the US and Israel launched in late February.
Trump has been openly critical of Netanyahu since Israel's war against Hezbollah in Lebanon threatened peace talks.
But in a phone call with Axios, Trump says the relationship is good because Netanyahu "knows who's in charge."
"We get along very well," Trump says.
An Israeli representative says next week may be too early for the visit, as Trump is scheduled to travel to Turkey for the NATO summit on July 7-8.
It could happen the following week, says the representative.
The two last met on February 11 in Washington.
