US President Donald Trump tells The New York Times he does not consider himself bound by international law. "I am not out to hurt anyone," he says.

Trump says his power in international affairs is limited only by his own morality, in an extensive two-hour interview with four reporters from The New York Times.

At the same time, Trump says his administration must follow international law, but he says he has the final say on whether those restrictions apply to the United States.

It depends on how you define international law, he says.

The president also says in the interview that he uses his reputation for unpredictability and his willingness to quickly resort to military force to pressure other countries.
