Trump says he has agreed to talk to Iran

There is no clear information from Iran that such talks are currently taking place.

When asked if the conversation would take place today or tomorrow, Trump replied to the newspaper:

I can't say that.

The president claims that many Iranians who were involved in previous negotiations are no longer alive.

They waited too long. They should have agreed to a deal.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, who previously mediated between the United States and Iran, spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday.

According to a statement from Oman's Foreign Ministry, Araghchi expressed "the Iranian side's openness to all serious efforts that contribute to stopping the escalation and returning to stability."
