US President Donald Trump "has made it clear that he does not support Israel's occupation of the West Bank," his office said, according to Reuters.
The move comes after Israel's security cabinet approved several rules and measures that are expected to strengthen Israeli control over areas in the occupied West Bank.
“Stability in the West Bank keeps Israel secure and is in line with this administration’s goal of achieving peace in the region,” the statement continues.
