The President received representatives of the press in Washington, D.C., in connection with the planned meeting on the war in Lebanon.

Trump focused his comments on the situation in Iran, saying he did not intend to attack the country with nuclear weapons and that he was in no hurry to find a solution to the conflict.

Earlier in the day, Trump stated, "I have all the time in the world, but the clock is ticking." He also announced that the U.S. aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush had arrived in the Middle East.

The incident came after a day of relative calm in Iran. Explosions were heard in Tehran, but according to reports, they were caused by anti-aircraft fire.
