The heated conversation took place hours after Iran was reported to have suspended all negotiations with the United States in protest of Israel's military operations in Lebanon.
"Everyone hates you now. Everyone hates Israel because of this," Trump is said to have said, among other things.
In the phone call, Trump reportedly told Netanyahu to pause his plans to attack Beirut. According to Axios' sources, the president lectured his ally, calling him crazy and accusing him of being ungrateful.
"You would have been in jail if it weren't for me," Trump reportedly said, referring to an ongoing anti-corruption trial in Israel.
