The passport, issued in a limited edition, is intended to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States. Inside is a picture of the president with a stern expression and his signature.
"As the United States celebrates America's 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed U.S. passports to commemorate this historic occasion," State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott wrote on X.
Applicants who do not want the special passport will have the option of choosing a regular one.
