The President of the USA, Donald Trump, says that he will increase trade "substantially" with India and Pakistan, since the rival countries have agreed on a ceasefire.
"I am proud that the USA could help you reach this historic and heroic decision. Even though it has not even been mentioned, I will increase trade substantially with both these great nations", writes Trump on his platform.
Since the ceasefire was announced on Saturday, both sides have accused each other of violating it.
During the past 24 hours, cross-border shelling has claimed dozens of lives on both sides, including many civilians, according to the countries' respective authorities.
The tense situation between the nuclear powers has raised concerns worldwide, and many have urged de-escalation.
