USA's president Donald Trump wants to gather world leaders in Egypt during his trip to the Middle East at the beginning of next week, according to sources to Axios.

Trump has previously stated that he plans a trip to the Middle East, after the message of a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to Axios, which refers to four anonymous sources with insight, Trump will visit Israel on Monday morning local time to, as previously reported, speak before the Knesset but also meet with relatives of Israeli hostages.

Then it is said to proceed to Egypt, where he, according to Axios, will participate in a ceremony together with the other mediating countries Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.

Then, possibly on Tuesday, a summit will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh which will be arranged by Egypt's President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi.

Leaders or foreign ministers from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia are expected to participate, writes Axios.

The reason is to gather strength behind the US peace plan, which is expected to be difficult to implement based on the 20 points presented by Donald Trump.
