Trump, much of his administration, many senators and, not least, foreign dignitaries such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended the ceremony.
The speeches followed one another throughout the evening, and Donald Trump gave a 15-minute eulogy for the senator, in which he also recalled Graham's hawkish stance on conflicts around the world.
"He never saw a war he didn't like. But it was for the good of our nation," Trump said.
Graham died on July 12, aged 71. He will be buried in his home state of South Carolina on Wednesday.
