The armada off the Venezuelan coast, led by the US aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford, will “only get bigger” until Venezuela returns “all the oil, land, and other assets that they previously stole from us,” Trump claims in the post on Truth Social.
At the same time, the president states that the regime in Venezuela has been labeled a terrorist organization by the United States.
The United States has in recent months carried out attacks on ships allegedly transporting drugs off the coast of Venezuela. Trump has blamed Venezuela's Maduro for the attacks. Several American warships are also in the waters of the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela.
