The U.S. dollar has fallen in recent days, but, according to U.S. President Donald Trump, the currency's value has not dropped significantly.

"The dollar is doing great," Trump told reporters in Iowa on Tuesday, when asked if he was worried about the decline.

"I want it to find its own level - that's what's fair," he added.

Trump also suggested that he could manipulate the dollar and "make it go up or down like a yo-yo," but said that would be unfavorable.

The last four days have seen the biggest drop in the dollar's value since Trump unveiled his sweeping global tariff package in April last year. One dollar is now worth 8.77 kronor, the lowest level since the fall of 2021.

The dollar reached its lowest level of the day immediately after Trump's statement.
