US President Donald Trump has officially nominated acting attorney general and Trump's former lawyer Todd Blanche to become attorney general.
Before Blanche can take the job, he must be approved by the Senate, where Republicans hold a majority.
Blanche has served as acting attorney general since Trump fired Pam Bondi in April.
