Trump must pay $5 million in E. Jean Carroll sexual assault case

Carroll has accused Trump of raping her at a department store in the mid-1990s. The president has dismissed the allegations as lies.

In May 2023, a court ruled that rape could not be proven - but that Trump was guilty of sexual assault. The court also found that Trump had defamed Carroll and awarded damages of five million dollars.
