No time has been set, but it could happen very soon, says the American President to reporters on the presidential plane Air Force One.

The announcement comes simultaneously as American media have reported that an American delegation is on its way to Saudi Arabia, for talks with Russian diplomats in Riyadh.

The meeting is reportedly to prepare for a meeting between Trump and Putin.

Trump has also recently spoken by phone with Putin. In recent days, several questions have been raised about whether Trump intends to include Ukraine and Europe in the talks.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has stated that Kyiv has not been invited to the talks in Riyadh, but has simultaneously announced a visit to Saudi Arabia this week.

On Sunday afternoon, local time, Trump tells journalists that Zelenskyj "will be involved", without providing further details.

Zelenskyj has previously said that Ukraine can participate in talks with Russia only when they have agreed on a position together with the USA and allies.
