The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is suing the American TV channel CBS for 10 billion dollars, equivalent to approximately 106 billion kronor, following an interview with the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, writes Fox News.
In the lawsuit, Trump claims that the interview, which was broadcast earlier this month, was manipulated and misleading, according to court documents.
Trump's lawyers demanded in a letter that CBS release the entire transcript of the "60 minutes" interview with Harris after the program aired two different answers to the same question.
The documents also contain a claim for 10 billion dollars in damages and that the case should be decided by a jury.
The lawsuit was filed with a federal court in Texas, just a few days before the presidential election, which is being held on Tuesday next week.
