Bill Maher was the guest of honor when he received the prestigious comedy award on Sunday. During the evening, there were light jokes about Donald Trump. Just as Maher was about to accept the award, impersonator Matt Friend took the stage and imitated Trump, who said he was willing to accept the award for himself.
The Kennedy Center has been in the news after Trump had a sign with his own name placed on the historic cultural center. However, a court ruled that the move was illegal and Trump's name has since been removed.
