The President of the USA, Donald Trump, has increased the tariffs on Chinese goods by a further 10 percent, to 20 percent.
The decision was signed at the White House on Monday, citing what is referred to as "Beijing's failure to address the illegal fentanyl trade".
The first China tariffs came into effect on February 4, and shortly afterwards, China responded with corresponding tariffs on American goods.
The new 20-percent tariffs will come into effect simultaneously with the import tariffs of 25 percent on goods from Mexico and Canada, i.e. early Tuesday morning Swedish time.
