On the first anniversary of his inauguration, Donald Trump held a lengthy press conference. He mentioned the Greenland crisis with a few words: "You'll see" and "the people of Greenland will be overjoyed."

Expectations of unexpected developments were not met, even though the press conference lasted much longer than planned.

Trump spoke warmly about efforts to curb irregular migration and held up pictures of suspected criminals who had been arrested.

He was dissatisfied that his economic message was not getting across.

Then Trump was asked several questions about the world situation. Regarding the Greenland crisis, he replied, "You'll see."

Trump said that the leaders of France and Britain were always friendly to him and claimed, ahead of the trip to the meetings in Davos, that he likes the UN but that the organization is not up to its task.
