"I have decided that entry from the group described above is against the interests of the USA, since Harvard, in my assessment, has been transformed into a place that is not suitable for foreign students and researchers", it says in the presidential order.
The decision is an escalation in the ongoing conflict between the White House and the country's oldest and most resource-rich university.
