The deadline for the Tiktok agreement between the US and China is extended to December 16, states President Donald Trump.

The USA has demanded that Tiktok's Chinese owners sell their American social media business. The deadline for an agreement was to expire on Wednesday, but now it is being extended by the American president.

Trump's message came through a presidential order on Tuesday, despite him earlier the same day saying that the USA and China had reached an agreement on Tiktok ownership.

– I will talk to President Xi Jinping on Friday to get it all confirmed, said Trump to journalists when he left the White House in Washington before the state visit to the United Kingdom.

Both countries stated on Monday that they had agreed on a "framework" for the Tiktok agreement. This happened in connection with trade negotiations between the two countries in the Spanish capital Madrid.
