On Friday, a US fighter jet attacked two Iranian-flagged tankers that the US accused of trying to bypass a US blockade of Iranian ports. Iran is said to have responded to the US attacks.
President Donald Trump said on Friday local time that he expected a response from Iran on the latest US proposal to end the war "tonight."
