USA's president Donald Trump revokes the extended bodyguard protection that Kamala Harris, former vice president and the Democrats' former presidential candidate, has, reports American media.

Former presidents in the USA are protected by Secret Service for life. But former vice presidents have only bodyguard protection for six months after their term of office has ended, according to federal law.

This means that Kamala Harris' personal protection expired on July 21. But her boss, former President Joe Biden, signed an extension for another year before he left the White House in January – a directive that has not been known until now.

This is what Donald Trump is revoking through a letter to the Department of Homeland Security, reports CNN.

The message comes shortly before Harris, who was defeated by Trump in last year's presidential election, is to embark on a tour to promote her book "107 days" about last year's election campaign.
