Harvard cannot "even be considered a decent educational institution" and should "not be considered for a place on any list of the world's best universities or colleges", writes the president on his own social media site Truth. Harvard University should no longer receive state grants, he thunders in the lengthy post.

The publication comes the day after it became known that the Trump administration is freezing 2.2 billion dollars in state grants to the university. He has also threatened to revoke the institution's tax-exempt status and instead tax it as a political organization.

In Wednesday's post, the president claims that Harvard employs teachers who are "radical left, idiots and bird brains". He is particularly upset about two former New York mayors who teach at the institution.
