USA's president Donald Trump says that USA is currently in talks with Hamas to get the Israeli hostages released. We are in deep negotiations, he says during a press briefing at the White House.

On Friday, it had been 700 days since the terrorist-stamped Hamas carried out its coordinated attack on Israel. Several of the hostages have died during these 700 days. Trump states that they are negotiating to get the rest released.

We said that they should release everyone now, then much better things will happen to them, says the president.

But if you do not release everyone, it will be a tough situation, it will be unpleasant.

Hamas released a new film on Friday with two of the hostages. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it "evil propaganda".

The pressure on Netanyahu and Israel has increased since they escalated the attacks on, above all, Gaza City, with many fatalities as a result.

The organization for the relatives of the hostages and their families responded that Israel should instead push for the ceasefire agreement that is waiting for the Israeli government's response, and thus act to return the hostages. The organization also warned Israel against paving the way for the murder of more hostages:

"You can no longer say that you did not know they were there," says the organization in a statement.
