USA's president Donald Trump says he now has received support from Fifa boss Gianni Infantino to move World Championship matches for security reasons.

In September, Donald Trump said that World Championship matches in democratically governed American cities could be moved for security reasons. Then, the International Football Association (Fifa) said that it was they who decided on the World Championship arrangement in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

But now Trump, who met Infantino at the political summit in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday, says:

If someone does a bad job and if I think it's unsafe (in the city) I call Gianni, who is in charge of Fifa and who is phenomenal, and say "let's move the match". And he will do it, says Trump.

Very easily will he do it.

Boston, San Francisco, and Seattle are World Championship cities governed by democrats.

Trump also says that he can imagine moving Olympic Games competitions from Los Angeles 2028.

If I think that LA does not prepare itself in the best way, I can move it to other places.

Trump's republican government has sent troops from the national guard to democratically governed cities and states since one believes, among other things, that crime there is high.
