Donald Trump's tribute to Netanyahu came in an interview with the conservative radio personality Mark Levin on Tuesday.
He is a war hero because we work together. He is a war hero, says Trump in the program The Mark Levin Show.
I suppose I am too. I sent those planes, continues the president, referring to the US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in June.
Netanyahu has previously served in the Israeli army. Trump, however, has never served in the American one.
In the radio program, Trump adds that Netanyahu – wanted by the International Criminal Court for suspected war crimes in Gaza – is a "good man".
In July, Netanyahu nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for the US bombings in Iran.
