USA's president Donald Trump wants Microsoft to fire its chief for global issues, Lisa Monaco. She was deputy justice minister during former president Joe Biden's term of office.

”She is a threat to the USA's national security, especially considering the large contracts that Microsoft has with the USA's government”, he writes on his platform Truth Social.

During her time as deputy minister of justice, she coordinated, among other things, the Ministry of Justice's handling of the storming of the Capitol in 2021.

This is not the first time the president demands that an American company fires a high-ranking executive.

This summer, Donald Trump demanded that Intel's CEO Lip-Bu Tan should resign because he previously had ties to the Chinese company Cadence Design Systems Inc. A few weeks after the statement on social media, it was announced that both parties had agreed that the state would take over 10 percent of the shares in Intel.
