The world's largest economy stalled during the first months with Donald Trump in the White House. The country's GDP shrank by 0.3 per cent during the first quarter compared to the previous quarter – which led to recession fears on Wall Street.
In an interview with NBC, he answers affirmatively to a question about whether the US economy will cope in the long term even if there is a recession in the short term>.
This is a transition period. I believe we will do fantastically, says Donald Trump.
On a direct question, he then answers that he is not worried about a recession in the country. At the same time, he admits that the risk exists.
Anything can happen, but I believe we will have the best economy in our country's history, says Trump.
