The USA will introduce import tariffs on agricultural products on April 2, writes President Donald Trump on his social media platform Truth Social.
"To the large farmers in the USA: Get ready to start producing a lot of agricultural products to be sold within the USA. Tariffs will be introduced on imported goods on April 2", writes Trump in the post.
Trump has previously mentioned American agricultural products as a commodity group that EU countries do not purchase enough of.
They do not buy our cars, they do not buy our agricultural products. They take almost nothing and we take everything, claimed Trump at the beginning of February.
