Later, Ukraine's First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the countries had signed a letter of intent during the day.

The mineral agreement, which is to give the USA extensive rights to Ukrainian natural resources in exchange for continued American support in defense against Russia's invasion, was supposed to be signed in February. But it fell through after a chaotic meeting between Trump and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj in Washington.
