They pay 19 percent and we pay nothing. We will have full access to Indonesia, says Donald Trump to reporters outside the White House according to the news agency.

Indonesia has, according to Trump, also agreed to buy 50 Boeing planes from the USA as well as invest 15 billion dollars, equivalent to about 145 billion kronor, in the American energy sector and an additional 4.5 billion dollars in American agricultural products, writes AFP.

Trump has earlier in the day described the agreement as "fantastic" in a post on his platform Truth Social. Recently, he threatened Indonesia with significantly higher tariffs, at 32 percent. Several other countries have received similar tariff letters.

The USA has also announced that the deadline for negotiations on trade tariffs is extended from July 9 to August 1.

Last Saturday, July 12, Trump announced that import tariffs of 30 percent will be introduced on goods from the EU from August 1. The day after, the President of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated that the EU and Indonesia have reached a "political agreement" on free trade.
