USA's president Donald Trump accuses TV personality Oprah Winfrey and artist Beyoncé of having received millions of dollars from the democrats during the election campaign last year – in exchange for their support.

According to the president, it is a matter of an amount of 14 million dollars – eleven million dollars to Beyoncé for "party support" and three million dollars to Winfrey for "expenses".

"You cannot pay anyone for party support. It is completely illegal to do so", writes Trump, in his typical style with capital letters, on the social media platform Truth Social.

Information from the federal election commission does not show any payments of millions of dollars to the celebrities – and it is not clear where Trump got the figure from, writes Newsweek.

The allegations follow a week of Trump's increased interest in the Democrats' expenses during the election campaign and he now claims that the alleged payments should be investigated.

He continues by pointing out, among others, the Democrats' presidential candidate:

"Kamala (Harris), and all those who received money, broke the law. They should all be prosecuted!", he writes.
