Last Sunday, SVT reported that Marcus Sjöberg, captain of the men's national table tennis team, had chosen to resign with just over a week to go before the World Team Championships. The report said the reason was conflicts within the squad, with star Truls Möregårdh on one side and other players on the other.

Both the union and Sjöberg have since denied the report, and now Möregårdh is doing the same.

I was speechless when I read it, because none of it was true, Möregårdh tells SVT.

Among other things, there was information that Möregårdh had demanded to live in his own apartment during the pre-camp for the World Team Championships.

I came across as a bit strange. But the camp is in Malmö, where I live, so I was going to live in my own apartment. It became very strange.

The World Team Championships will be held in London from April 28 to May 10.
