Truls Gisselman had the race of his life and finished seventh in the skiathlon. Then he got sick and was not selected for Sunday's relay.
Now the 24-year-old has announced that his Olympics are over. The Swede is travelling home from Italy and will not run the 50-kilometre race next weekend.
"I got a little sick on Friday the 13th," he wrote on Instagram.
"My main goals for the Olympics were the skiathlon and 50 kilometres, but sometimes things don't go the way you want," he wrote further.
